TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

1.DEFINITIONS

a. The Client: The recipient of the service and name listed on the booking form.
b. Hairdresser and Makeup Artist: Rachel Marie Neilson.
c. The Agreement: The contract that exists between the client and the makeup artist for the agreed fee.
d. The fee: The amount payable by the client to the hairdresser and makeup artist for the services listed on this website and any related documentation.
e. The event: Relates in principle to the date whereby the event (i.e the wedding) takes place.
f. The party: Additional members of the bridal party.

g. Booking: Refers to the booking of the services of the hair and make-up artist for the day of the wedding/event.

h. The trial: Refers to the trial booking of the trial makeup and hair using the services of the hair and makeup artist at an agreed location and price in accordance with the terms and conditions of this site.

2. SECURING THE BOOKING OF THE EVENT

a. The booking of the event is only reserved once the client has paid a non-refundable deposit to the hairdresser and makeup artist.
b. The deposit is £50 – this is required to secure the event.
c. Arranging a trial does not reserve the makeup artist’s services for the event
d. Events on Friday, Saturday or Sunday are subject to a £250 on the day minimum spend, excluding travel costs

3. PAYMENT

a. Payments can be made in cash or via bank transfer, cheques will also be accepted
b. The non-refundable deposit of £50 paid by the client is taken off the fee
c. The trial is paid for at the time of trial
d. The fee is to be paid in full by the client 2 weeks (14 days) before the event
e. Failure to pay the fee within the stated time will result in the booking being cancelled by the makeup artist

 

4. RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CLIENT

a. The client shall inform the hairdresser and makeup artist of any issues that may affect the use of any equipment or products. This includes but is not limited to sensitivities, allergies and medical conditions.

b. The hairdresser and makeup artist cannot be held liable for any losses or damage that is incurred due to the client’s failure to inform the artist of any known condition
c. The hairdresser and makeup artist reserves the right to refuse service to the client or members of the party for, but not limited to, abusive and threatening behaviour.

 

5. CANCELLATIONS

a. At any point the client can cancel the event by informing the hairdresser and makeup artist in writing (including email), however, if the booking is cancelled within 31 days or less before the wedding date then the client must pay the full amount of the booking due to loss of earnings of the hairdresser and makeup artist. There will be no exceptions.
b. The client can cancel a trial at any point, however a trial cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will be charged for at the agreed full rate.

c. Cancellations by the hairdresser and makeup artist due to circumstances including, but not limited to, problems rendering the performance of their obligations and where no other suitable alternative can be given - will result in a refund to the client. No further compensation will be offered.

d. If the booking is directly affected by circumstances beyond the control of the hairdresser and makeup artist every possible endeavour to rectify such situations will be made, however no compensation will be offered on the hairdresser and makeup artist’s part. The client is strongly advised to take out wedding insurance to cover against such situations.

6. EXCLUSIVITY

a. Exclusivity is not guaranteed for the whole day of the event, therefore timings will be seriously  considered when agreeing to any booking
b. It is unlikely that there will be another event on the day; and any second event undertaken by the hairdresser and makeup artist will not affect the first event
c. An exclusivity fee can be arranged if preferred.

7. PHOTOGRAPHY

a. The client agrees that the hairdresser and makeup artist may use any photography for publicity purposes which include but are not limited to the hairdresser and makeup artist’s website and social media pages.

8. TRAVEL EXPENSES

a. The client will cover any necessary travel expenses of the hairdresser and makeup artist as agreed at time of booking
b. This is to include, should it be required, congestion charging and parking charges.
